I purchased a few Leviton Dimmer switches off of ebay because they were relatively inexpensive. Turns out 2 out of 3 of them were not working when I got them and both had the same problem which is quite easily fixed.

When trying various packages in linux from different repositories it is difficult to know what package was installed from what source.

Using pip to install system packages sometimes messes with distro versions of the packages.
